Pharmacists, plumbers and a union with Britain

Think tanks, focus groups and policy wonks. All vital ingredients in any successful political campaign and all something that the Latrine camp has in spades. Led by the dynamic and highly flexible Brown-Staynemarx sisters, Bettina and Edwina, my policy development unit is slowly cranking up to full speed. All the topics above will be discussed here over the next few days. Any serious political campaign risks attracting a lunatic fringe, and ours is no exception. I find myself pursued, and sometimes caught in compromising positions, by a rag, tag and bobtail bunch of oddballs whose origins can only be guessed at. This is the price I have to pay for offering the people of France ('my people' as I like to think of them) the first real political alternative they have had for a long time. Please note, that only those wearing the official Votez Latrine merchandise can truly claim to speak for the campaign. These nick-nacks and gee-gaws can be obtained here. Those of you who have the technology can of course add the site to your RSS feeds (or 'live bookmarks') to make sure you don't miss a jot of the Latrine campaign.
